Terror in Resonance

Terror in Resonance, a detective, mystery and thriller genre mixed anime directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, with character designs by Kazuto Nakazawa and music by Yoko Kanno. This anime has got some cool background scores and the screenplay is excellent as well.

Plutonium, a radio active element was taken away from a nuclear fuel reprocessing facility during a snow storm. It was the doing of two men. One among them left a message “VON” at the scene. And I have got no idea what that message was all about. However, they might explain later it seems.

Nine and Twelve, their names. Nine is a short boy with a big smile on his face, acting kinda strange everytime. Twelve, the exact opposite of his accomplice. They joined a school in Tokyo. It was six months later, after that plutonium theft incident. One fine day, they met a girl, Lisa Mishima. They were on their way to the school actually (first day). They helped her from a bunch of girls who were bullying her. Nine comes out to be her classmate. Twelve was in a different class.

Meanwhile, a video was uploaded on the Internet. Two masked guys claim “Tokyo will be enveloped by darkness after 3:00 p.m. and large sparks will fly, scattered around the Shinjuku area.” Like they said, they interrupted the electricity supply to Tokyo at the time they mentioned earlier. Then, they were actually setting bombs all over a building. They also got an accomplice, a thrid person. I would rather not say anymore deeper. I just don’t wanna spoil your fun (Spoilers).

Shibazaki, a former detective actually managed to find the connection between the video uploaded on the internet earlier and that bomb blasting incident. But he had no more clues to get any closer. It seems, the anime has a really good plot. And the progression of the anime might be the answer for these questions. “Who the hell are they?”, “Why the hell are they doing stuffs like that?”, “What did they do with the plutonium they stole?” Last but not the least. “What the hell does VON means?” and much more. To be honest, this is one good anime to watch.
