Seven Deadly Sins 19th Volume Tops The Weekly Manga Chart!

 

The Seven Deadly Sins written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki-san and released by Kodansha achieves new feat. The latest Oricon report the 19th volume of the series released on 17th of this month has sold 350,720 copies becoming the most sold manga of the week.

This has been 4th weekly no one for the manga ever since the 14th volume. Yet its 3,240-yen limited edition with a smartphone case couldn’t make it to top 30.

Reports say that the 18th volume released on December of 2015 sold 304,000 copies in its first week and still going strong. The release day of the 20th volume is confirmed as April 15 and its 1,500-yen limited edition will come with a mascot figure of Hawk.

In 2015, the manga sold 10,304,112 copies becoming the second most sold manga of the year behind Oda-san’s One Piece with 14,102,521 even crossing Shingeki no Kyojin and the revolutionary One Punch Man with latter getting an anime adaptation and Sins anime ending last March.

The novel The Seven Deadly Sins -Gaiden- Sekijitsu no Ōto Nanatsu no Negai was the 33rd  best-selling light novel of the first half of 2015, with 61,939 copies sold. The 13th volume had the manga’s best debut week to date, selling 442,492 for first place on the chart.
