ReLIFE is a television anime series written by Michiko Yokote, Kazuho Hyodo and directed by Tomo Kosaka. The main theme of the anime is all about a 27 year old guy who is unfortunately unemployed and searching for a job. The screenplay and the background music are pretty good.

The screenplay starts with our hero, Arata Kaizaki getting kicked out from an interview. Unfortunately the scene gets even worse. He gets a call from his mom. She said that they were no longer going to take care of him anymore. OMG! *Shocks* Looks like he is currently living somewhere else for the sake of his part-time job. The dude is 27 years old, unemployed and the best part is coming right away. He doesn’t even have a girlfriend. How unfortunate?!
He was completely drunk that night. While he was on his way to his home, he met a stranger. His name is Ryō Yoake, he said that he was working in a laboratory called “ReLife”. He even offered him a job claiming that they will look after all of his expenses for the following year. He also promised that he would get a job there itself if the results were promising. He gave him a capsule and started to explain stuffs. The capsule can make people look younger. A way lot younger than anyone could even imagine. Our hero’s work is to take a capsule, join a highschool and act like a highschool kid for one long year.
Next morning. As usual our hero got up and then went for a face wash. In the mirror, he found himself very younger. *Shocks* He took the capsule last night while he was drunk. *Damn* He gets a phone call. It’s Ryō. He just came to his home just to make sure whether he took the capsule or not. Then he explains his mission for the following year as a highschool kid. And stuffs really got more interesting.
The following day, he attends his school. He joined there as a transfer student in the third year. So, almost everybody has their own friends circle and that would make his life even more miserable. He just screams on seeing Ryō in the classroom. Actually I was shocked as well but I just didn’t scream like an idiot. It seems he was there for supervising our hero. As an adult it was pretty tough for him to manage himself as a school kid. He forgot to bring his pencil box. He brought his cigarette packet out of habit and got caught by his classroom teacher as well. He just screwed up his first day exams. Phew! It must be his worst ever, I guess.
The progress of this anime might be about how he manages to get along with his highschool ReLife as a young looking adult. Ryō is a completely sarcastic character. So, his jokes will make us laugh out louder. The protagonist is pretty dumb like most of the famous anime which make the screenplay even more funnier. Over all, this one (ReLife) is a strongly recommended anime.
